Easy Scented Cleaner

Easy Scented Cleaner

Supplies
White Vinegar
Vodka
1 or 2 Oranges (or 2-3 lemons or any citrus you like)
1 Cinnamon Stick
32 ounce mason jar
Plastic  mason jar cap
32 ounce Clean spray jar.

Directions
Fill a 32 ounce mason jar with a sliced orange (or two if you want) and a cinnamon stick and fill with white vinegar.
Place a plastic lid on it and label it.
Let macerate (sit out of the sun) for 4 weeks (or until you like the scent)
Strain the mixture through a cloth (to keep debris out of it)
Fill the sprayer with the mixture and add about ½ to ¾ cup of vodka (I use 100 proof personally but whatever you have is fine) and I never measure so use your judgment on the amount here.  I didn’t make my sprayer full to the top.

Use:
I use this for windows, countertops, whatever you like. And you can alter this to what you like, apples, lime, lemon, vanilla, etc.  Have fun with it!

I do not use essential oils as I am scent sensitive so this for me is scented enough, but you could add a few drops if you wanted to. J

There are several of these floating around, but I don't think any of them call for vodka (or not that I have seen), I use vodka to cut down on  the streaking that can occur with just vinegar.

The Kissing Tree

Tawodi was breathing hot air on me that summer day in Virginia.  Darling husband and I were attempting to walk the whole property line.  Of course with 60 acres of thick underbrush this is no easy task.  Hot, sweaty and ready to give up, I happen upon a patch of wild grapes, Muscadines.  These beautiful purple grapes were just little bit of motivation I needed to press on and continue my journey. As our walk continued, we starting marking the property line by tying marking tape around certain trees.  As I started up on the next tree that was in the line, I wrapped my arms around it to tie it on the other side and just as that moment occurred the tree spirit reached out and kissed me. Well I have never had that happen to me before.  I stopped for a moment and then smiled and said to the beautiful White Oak that I was involved with, ‘my husband will be so jealous.’  The tree smiled and I smiled back! I shared the story with my husband who was about 15 yards ahead of me looking back as if to say, ‘what is taking so long.’ He just smiled and stopped for a moment to enjoy the magic!  If you have never been kissed by a tree, I hope you will open your heart and mind to the possibility!
